The Role
Clare College are seeking two Senior Chefs de Partie reporting to the Head Chef. These are full time positions working 37.5 hours per week to a two week shift system.
This is a wonderful opportunity for tow talented Chefs to join our team.
You will assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of all dishes to the highest standards to students, staff, College guests, Fellows and conference delegates. Suitably qualified, your CV will reflect your experience in working in a busy kitchen environment and working as part of a team.
As part of your career development you will be given the opportunity to enter competitions and on occasions train with the England Team. Both the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef have Michelin and Rosette kitchen experience which means that you will be working with award winning chefs and cooking for fine dining events.
Clare is the second oldest of the 31 Colleges in the University of Cambridge. Regarded as one of the most progressive and informal, Clare is renowned as a College that achieves academically at the highest levels, whilst also being welcoming, forward-thinking, and inclusive.
Located in the heart of Cambridge city centre, the College is extraordinarily beautiful and famed for its gardens on “the Backs” (the famous backs of the Colleges that overlook the River Cam). Clare’s Old Court, a Grade I listed building, is the centre of the College and is unique among the ancient Cambridge Colleges in having maintained its architectural integrity over the course of its history.
Salary and Benefits
The annual salary will be £29,039.70 per anum. In addition, there will be plenty of paid overtime available particularly in the busy conference season. You will also be eligible for a bonus.
Included in the benefits package is membership of a defined contribution pension scheme, membership of a medical cashback scheme, parking, and non-contractual bonus paid in November of each year.
