Clare hosts STEM SMART Residential
In August, 17 sixth formers attended a week-long STEM SMART residential at Clare College, following seven months of online tuition through the STEM SMART outreach programme for A-level science students, coordinated by the Isaac Physics team. The top 450 students were invited to attend one of the 16 colleges taking part in the event, with many coming from underrepresented backgrounds.
The programme featured lectures at the Cavendish Laboratory, covering advanced topics in physics and mathematics to prepare students for university admissions while evening activities included museum tours, scavenger hunts, and a formal hall. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students gaining confidence in applying to top universities, including Cambridge.
Applications for the 2025-26 programme are open until 31st October 2024. Apply here.
