Biography
Anna Philpott’s lab, based in the Stem Cell Institute at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus , is interested in the molecular regulation of the balance between cell proliferation and differentiation during development. To this end, the group investigates division and differentiation in both Xenopus frog embryos and embryonic stem cells. One goal is to manipulate these processes to develop novel therapies for the paediatric cancer, neuroblastoma. In addition to her research work, since 2019, Anna has also been the Head of the School of the Biological sciences.
