1. Employee Assistance Programme
Sometimes it is the little things in life that turn into a big problem, and unresolved personal or work issues can have a major impact on wellbeing. Unum LifeWorks is designed to help employees cope with simple questions to complex issues, by giving them information and confidential practical support on a range of everyday issues including work, family, relationships, money and health.

MOBILE APP: Download the mobile app from the Apple App or Google Play stores; simply search 'Lifeworks' and look for the Lifeworks logo. Alternatively, you can download the iPhone app here, or the Android app here. The user ID is unum and the password is lifeworks.
2. Help at Hand
Help@Hand is a new service offered by Unum. It offers the below services which can all be accessed via one app, with the entry point to services being provided by one specialist health provider, Square Health. This ensures a unique, simple, and straightforward user experience.
- Remote GP Appointments - employees, their partner, and children have unlimited access to a UK based remote GP within 24 hours of requesting an appointment. Each video consultation lasts 20 minutes and is available 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Second Opinions - Medical second opinions are available via either face to face or video consultation with a UK based specialist following a diagnosis from a treating doctor. Employees, their partner, and children (up to 18 or 23 if in full time education) have access to two consultations per year, shared between them.
- Mental Health Support - Up to eight mental health support consultations (including an initial assessment) per year are available, to be shared between you and your partner. Based on clinical need following an assessment via video consultation, the service is delivered either face to face or through supported computerised cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with an assigned therapist.
- Physiotherapy - Up to eight physiotherapy consultations (including an initial assessment) per year are available to be shared between you and your partner. Treatment is delivered either face-to-face or digitally, based on clinical need following a video consultation.
